Dragon Lord's Journal Hmm... talk about a late update, huh? :P Hope everyone is doing great. I'll see what I can do about being in here a bit more often. But right now it's almost 3am, and I need to go to sleep. XD Laterz! I see that I haven't posted here since April 21:st. That's a little longer than I expected it to be. :-/ Oh well... shit happens, I guess. Anyway, IT'S SUMMER TIME PEOPLE!!!!! =D And you know what that means? NO MORE UNIVERSITY!!!... well, for a few months at least... ^_^ YAY!!! Time to soak up the sunshine and enjoy life for a change. :) The only thing missing right now is money to go travel. :-/ I love traveling, but unfortunatelly it costs money. :( Someone should hurry up and invent some kind of teleportation device or something so you could travel from one place to another instantly... and hopefully chealy too. ^_^ That would be awesome! So, what have you guys been up to so far this summer? :) I have been working at the summercabin, taking it easy, and enjoying the sunshine. Anyway, I'll leave you guys with this short update because I'm gonna head out for a walk. ^_^ Talk to you guys later!! =D Current mood: ST. TOTTERINGHAM'S DAY IS FINALLY HERE!!!! :P lol If you're into football (yes, the kind played OUTSIDE of North America. You call it soccer), and specifically English football, you might have heard of this day. If you're an Arsenal supporter there's NO WAY you could have missed hearing about it. ^_^ lol It's basically the day of the season when there no longer is a chance that Tottenham can pass Arsenal in the league table. ^_^ lol So go down to your local pub, have a guinness or two, swim in the fountains if you want, and rejoice at the glory that is St. Totteringham's Day. ;P lol Have fun boys and girls. ^_~ lol Current mood: Exam today. Starts in... 35 minutes, need to leave in 10. Wish me luck!!! (I'm probably gonna need it for this one). ^^;;;; It's Saturday... it's 10:58 according to my computer's clock... I got up at 7 this morning... yes, 7am... I've been on the phone for an hour or so and actually had quite a bit of fun... so... now I ask myself... why, oh WHY, do I feel like shit? WHY do I feel like I just wanna put a bullet through my head and be done with it? WHY do I feel like my emotions have been kicked in the groin, dragged through the mud and kicked around, at the same time as you're basically being told it was pretty much your own fault somehow? Today has officially started off as a über-shitty day. Hopefully it won't get worse from here... hopefully... please?... pretty please?... with sugar on top? Current mood: Current music: Simple Plan - "untitled". Ok...so it's been something like 10 days since my last update. Guess it's time to dust off the old keyboard and start typing again. Here we go! As I might have mentioned in my last post (don't really remember) I'm in the middle of moving to a new apartment right now. Well, actually I'm not really "in the middle" of it right now, more like "towards the END" of it actually. I'm hoping to be ready and moved in by Saturday. It's kind of a "requirement" actually since I'm having 10 friends over on Saturday night for a movie night. :) An all-nighter? Perhaps... we'll see. Something tells me at least 2 ppl will start walking off at around 11pm-ish (yes, if you ever get LJ and read this, you KNOW who you are! ^_~ ). Anywho... Today I'm gonna move my TV, (hopefully) my computer, the rest of my clothes, and some other bits and pieces from my current dwelling. it's gonna be GREAT! Now I just need to somehow get the money I need for my gym membership so I can get going with that a.s.a.p. No reason to put it off more than I have to cause then chances are it won't get done. I'm hoping to fit in about 4 training "sessions" per week.... in an already BUSY schedule with university studies, exams and moving (wish me luck!... I'm gonna need it! XD ) Found this somewhere, and I think it's kinda good so I'm gonna post it. Like it or not, here it comes!: 'If everyone cared and nobody cried If everyone loved and nobody lied If everyone shared and swallowed their pride We'd see the day when nobody died' -If Everyone Cared, by Nickelback Like it? Thought so. Words of wisdom, if you ask me. Well, I'd better get back to packing. Over and out! Ok, so I realise it's been a while since I last posted anything here. Just thought I'd make a little update with something I found in a friend's journal. :) Hope someone will take the time to answer it. I _____ you. You have a nice______. You make me _______. You should _______. Someday I will ______. You + me =________. If I saw you now I'd __________. Remember that time when _______? I would build a _______ just for you. If I could sing you any song it would be _________. We could __________ under the stars. Love, _______________ (P.S. ______________.) Thanks! ^_^ In a previous post, I talked a little about Highbury, a.k.a "The Home of Football". As the Arsenal team is moving into their new home (Emirates Stadium) it's also time to bid farewell to one of the greatest players the game has ever seen, Dennis Bergkamp. His career at Arsenal spans over a decade, and during that time he has become one of the most loved players in Arsenals history. With an eye for the goal, but above all an incredible eye for setting up others to score, Dennis is truly an Arsenal Legend. Bergkamp has recieved his fair share of nicknames over the years, for example The Iceman, Dennis the menace, The Dutch Master, The flying Dutchman, etc etc. He has worn the number 10 shirt with pride and been an amazing player both for Arsenal and for his national team when he played. Last season was, regrettably, his last as a professional footballer. Personally I hope he will continue in some form with football, preferably in some kind of coaching capacity in Arsenal because I believe he has a lot to offer the younger players. The Bergkamp testimonial game will be played against his former club Ajax at the new Emirates Stadium (I SO badly wanna call it Ashburton Grove, or The Grove, instead... oh well, the things you do for sponsors, I guess...) on July 22. Unfortunatelly I won't be able to see it, which really breaks my heart... but I will definatelly read everything I can find about it. Whatever happens, I hope it will be a worthy farewell to one of the greatest players to ever have graced the game. Farewell Bergkamp... while you will be sorely missed by us fans, we will always hold you in our hearts and remember you fondly. Thank you for everything you have done for the club and for us supporters. I think I can speak for everyone when I wish you good luck in your future life and career, whatever it may be. And hopefully we will some day get to see you again in Arsenal. Thank you for everything. PS! If you wanna get to know Bergkamp and see him play, I suggest you look him up at YouTube.com. I've added some links to a few Bergkamp videos here in case you are too lazy to search yourselves. ;) lol http://youtube.com/watch?v=adpU-4LK http://youtube.com/watch?v=40Ujb1Wa http://youtube.com/watch?v=LRP3OSAy http://youtube.com/watch?v=6l9DiKUz Current mood: Current music: Era - "Flowers of the sea". YAAAAAAAY!!!! :) King Henry stays! http://home.skysports.com/list.asp?h Ahem!... and now, after that foray into the realm of un-controled happiness, we move on to other news... It seems my planned trip across the great Atlantic ocean will have to be put on hold for a while, mainly due to economic reasons. Too bad, because I was really looking forward to visiting the states and some friends there. First "we" (i.e. Arsenal Football Club. And yes...it's the thing that you call Soccer over in the States) loose the Champions League final in Paris, and then the next day I find out I can't go.... yet. *grrrr* Oh well, Arsenal will bounce back, and so will I! *some trumpets in the background blow a triumphant salute* I won't let this destroy my day, or year for that matter. Instead I will bounce back stronger than ever!!... or at least with more cash in my pockets. ^_~ lol Not sure when I'll get the next chance to go, but I'm gunning for next summer, at the latest! FINALLY finished with everything involving my Masters Thesis a couple of days ago! I still have some exams to do, etc, but the goal (a.k.a FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Seems like I'll be spending my summer following the World Cup in Germany instead. Not too bad really, but to be honest I would have prefered to get BOTH the WC AND my trip to America. Oh well, guess I'll be working this summer instead then... Question: How many of you guys are going to actually follow your American soccer team in the World Cup? How many of you are even interested in what might be the biggest sport in the entire world? :) It would be interesting to know. Nä, nu blir det tillbaka till pluggandet för mig. Har ekonomi tenta imorgon. I'm looking forward to it with the same amount of anticipation as a normal person would getting hung, buuuut it needs to be done none the less. *siiiiiigh* Wish me luck! CIAO! As of yesterday, we bid a dear farewell to our beloved Highbury Stadium. You may be gone soon, and we may welcome our new home at Ashburton Grove, but we will always have a special place for you in our hearts. Thank you SO much for 93 glorious and amazing years. Many great players have played on your pitch over the years, and provided us supporters with some amazing memories. Players like Norris, Chapman, Hapgood, Drake, Brady, Mee, Adams, Rocastle, Bergkamp, Wright, George, Thomas, Bergkamp, and Henry, to just name a few. These players have helped make Highbury into more than just a stadium. It's a landmark, not just for the fans, but for everyone who loves football. Watching Thiery Henry kiss the pitch after he scored his third goal in the last game ever to be played at Highbury, warms the heart of every Gooner (Arsenal fan, if you didn't know) all around world. It is with mixed feelings that we celebrate "St. Totteringham's Day" this year. Sure, as the tradition dictates, we celebrate finishing before Tottenham (again, I might add. I've lost count how many times we've finished before them now, but it's always nice to celebrate kicking your main rival's ass!). But the celebrations feel half-hearted, as we also realise that starting next season, Highbury will be gone. I think I speak for every Arsenal fan in the world when I say that even though you will soon be gone, you will forever live on in our hearts and in our memories. Thank you for the memories Highbury!
